Terms and conditions

1. General

1.1 These general terms and conditions apply to all trips, arrangements, and services offered by Kembe Safari.
1.2 By booking a trip with Kembe Safari, the customer agrees to these general terms and conditions.


2. Reservation and payment

2.1 A trip is confirmed upon receipt of the deposit, which amounts to 30% of the total trip cost.
2.2 The remaining amount must be paid no later than 60 days before departure. For last-minute bookings (within 30 days before departure), the full trip cost is due immediately.
2.3 If payments are not made on time, Kembe Safari reserves the right to cancel the reservation. Any cancellation costs will be borne by the customer.


3. Cancellations and changes

3.1 Cancellations must be communicated in writing. The cancellation fees are as follows:

  • Up to 60 days before departure: 30% of the trip cost.

  • 30-59 days before departure: 50% of the trip cost.

  • Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of the trip cost.

3.2 Changes to the trip are possible upon request and subject to availability. Any additional costs will be passed on to the customer.


4. Responsibility and liability

4.1 Kembe Safari ensures the execution of the trip as described in the program.
4.2 Kembe Safari is not liable for damage, loss, or injury caused by force majeure, such as natural phenomena, political unrest, pandemics, or cancellations by external service providers.
4.3 The customer is responsible for having a valid passport, visa, vaccinations, and travel insurance.


5. Insurance

5.1 Taking out travel insurance and cancellation insurance is mandatory. The customer must arrange this on their own initiative.
5.2 Kembe Safari cannot be held responsible for any costs resulting from the lack of adequate insurance.


6. Health and safety

6.1 The customer must inform Kembe Safari in advance of any health issues or special requirements.
6.2 The customer is responsible for following health advice, such as vaccinations and the use of malaria prophylaxis.


7. Changes by Kembe Safari

7.1 Kembe Safari reserves the right to make changes to the travel program if necessary. This will only occur in exceptional situations and with as little inconvenience to the customer as possible.
7.2 In the case of changes, Kembe Safari will always offer an equivalent alternative.


8. Complaints

8.1 Any complaints during the trip must be reported directly to the guide or contact person of Kembe Safari, so a solution can be sought.
8.2 Complaints submitted after the trip must be in writing within 14 days.


9. Applicable law

9.1 All agreements between Kembe Safari and the customer are governed by Dutch law.
9.2 Disputes shall be submitted exclusively to the competent court in the Netherlands.


10. Other provisions

10.1 The customer is responsible for their own luggage and personal belongings.
10.2 All photos and videos taken during trips with Kembe Safari may be used for promotional purposes, unless the customer raises a written objection in advance.
